DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Dixon.

We have continued experimenting with the pumps with silencing washers, but we are not at all satisfied with them. They are actually noisier than the standard pump which we are supplying to you to-day. The minimum voltage on which they will work is 7 1/2, and they are very sensitive to adjustment, an alteration of one hole in the setting accounting for a difference of approximately one volt in the voltage required.

If you wish we will send them on to you, but we are so far retaining them in order that you may listen to them here the next time you are over. We are of the opinion that you will be better served with the standard pumps which we are supplying to you to-day than these.

Yours faithfully,
For THE S.U. CARBURETTER CO. LTD.

R Leslie Kent
