To____________________________________ 19__ Order No._________________ Customer's No.________________ present copper wire for a usual current value, while the heating would be such that the solder would not melt before the fuse blew. As a check we have tried to melt the solder in a standard copper loaded fuse. The wire was kept red hot by passing 5.5 amperes through it continuously. After about 5 minutes it blew but the end caps were only moderately warm, nowhere near the melting point of the solder. The volt drop towards the end of this test was .46V. Signed F.H.
