From AJS to HS regarding the use of an 'Alpé' disc as an engine coupling on an experimental car.

While the writer was at the Works he was under the impression that an "Alpé" disc was fitted as an engine coupling to one of our E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A. {Mr Adams} C. experimental cars.

I mentioned this to Mr. Royce and if this was the case he would be rather interested to know the result of running this coupling on the car as he thinks that the additional flexibility which this coupling gives might be a saving feature in using it, although it has not the strength of the 'Hardy'.
