58-GN.

This car is being returned to you today.

We have fitted to it front springs having 50% lower rating than standard and rear springs having 25% lower rating than standard. The car has been sprung with the object of giving a good ride under average English conditions. If taken abroad it will certainly require increased damping and for this reason, though we have removed the Hartfords we have left the axle fittings so that they can be replaced if required at any time.

You may criticise 58-GN as being rather up at the front and down at the back. This is not necessary but is the result of the set of springs fitted being our first attempt at this particular type.

Actually, you may take it that a car sprung like this on production would be normal in appearance but 1/2" to 3/4" higher overall to obtain the present immunity from hitting the buffers.
