contd :- -2- scrap piece of aluminium, which has to be unscrewed to remove the board, is the gap plate. The horizontal boards which should be fixed to the chassis dash brackets are made to extend across to the subframe. The dash brackets are minus most of the dead eyes for the fixing screws. SEE ORIGINAL FOR SKETCH. R.{Sir Henry Royce} wants us to have the job put right immediately, and we suggest that you arrange to send a driver for the car as soon as you have prepared the necessary subframe supports and RR. footboards. The car should then go to hooper's for them to fit the boards (see N.sch.1939). It will be necessary for someone from Derby to thoroughly acquaint himself with the schemes and to be at Hooper's to see that they carry out the work according to our designs. Will Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} kindly tell us what he will do to get the workixng moving. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Since writing this we understand that you will take the car on Tuesday Sept. 13th. Will you kindly see the writer and go over the details with him. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
