Dear Mr. Robotham, We are wondering how you are progressing with the tests on the 6.50/16 Aero Cushion Tyres having the Bentley Tread and also the 6.00/18 Tyres on the new 4¼ Litre Bentley. Mr. Raymond Mays, as you know, has had one of these cars delivered to him and he reports that on a recent trip to Monte Carlo he covered about 1,600 miles at very high speeds travelling mile after mile between 98 and 100 miles per hour. He anticipates that the tyres will be worn smooth at 4,500 miles. While we consider that this is a very satisfactory performance from the standpoint of the tyres, we feel steps should be taken, as soon as possible, to fit a larger section tyre in order to prevent complaints from Bentley Owners regarding the short life of IndiaProduction 20 HP. with 4-speed box and Front Wheel Brakes Tyres.
