"HERON" - PNEUMATIC BRAKES.

We have heard from Mr. Royce this morning that it is proposed to make the pneumatic brakes experimentally, so that all the work hitherto sent you, stands, and we send herewith N. sch. 1342 showing a general arrangement of the chassis fitted with these brakes.

It will be noticed that this scheme shews one or two small jobs to do in the way of altering the existing fittings, such for instance as the draw-bars, the position of the steering, and the brake gear on the back axle, which requires the inner brake removing, and which we shall leave you to do.

We are going to send you a design of the multiplying lever on the engine arm.

Would you please return us this original as soon as you have taken prints off for yourselves, as we urgently need it to continue the work on the Servo brakes, and we should be glad if you would take great care not to tear it.

(Handwritten addition)
THERE IS ALSO SOME WORK IN MODIFYING THE ANGLE OF THE STEERING SUPPORT TUBE, AND BRACKETS, WHICH DERBY SHOULD DO.
