LONGER TYPE 40/50 CHASSIS. There is a demand from the Sales Department that the longer chassis shall be made standard. The longer chassis gives 6 1/2" more room at the back of the Dashboard for the body. There has been already 40 to 50 of these longer chassis made and supplied to customers. We know of no reason why the longer chassis should not be adopted as standard. The points against it are - increase in weight (about 1%) and decrease in manoeuvrability. The advantages for it are - (10 Increased body room. (2) Slightly longer torque tube. (3) It is also proposed with the longer chassis that we can do away with the "A" type steering so that we have only three standards instead of four. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
