X3499 BM. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E1/M5.7.30. X. 3499 X. 5250 X. 7250 THERMOSTATICALLY OPERATED SHUTTERS ON 25 HP. --- In response to your memo. concerning the above, we send herewith Lec. 2807 shewing modification to thermostat levers to overcome the two objections you raise. The fulcrum pin has been made smaller in diameter so that the boss of the inner lever can be very thick and will not crush. The pin also has been secured in a parallel hole instead of taper. The thermostat and levers we shew in this drawing are the same as used on P.2. that is to say, we want both cars to be interchangeable in respect to this equipment, instead of having a smaller thermostat, and etceteras, for the 25 HP.
