July 6th, 1932.

Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd.,
Great King St.{Capt. P. R. Strong},
Birmingham.

For the attention of Mr. Toulmin.

Dear Sirs,

We have now received the ignition coil and distributor referred to in our telephone conversation.

We note however that the coil is a ballasted one whereas we stated in previous interviews with your technical engineers that we preferred a coil without a ballast resistance. Also the distributor has not got the latest bell crank type of contact arm as described to the writer by your Mr. E.A. Watson.

Will you kindly let us know if you can exchange this coil for a suitable ballasted type?

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED.
