Brigramet Bearing Metal.

We have now received from the British Graphitised Metals Limited, a report on the centrifugally cast bearing made in the above material which we submitted to them at their request some time ago.

You will observe that their report is not particularly good and it is suggested that we should obtain better results when these bearings are centrifugally cast if we were to use a pouring temperature of 390 to 395°C. and a speed of 1000 r.p.m.

If you are still interested in this material from the point of view of its possible use on chassis bearings, it would appear desirable to cast a fresh set under the circumstances recommended above.
