The Monelmetal wire is a definite advantage because it is less likely to corrode. Another advantage in this material is owing to the method of weaving, a much stouter gauge of wire can be used and still have a fine mesh. Road Test Report. One Filter gauze ran 7000 miles on 49-GB.
