For the attention of Mr. Daniell:

Dear Sirs,

We regret the delay in sending you the propellor shaft for our next 10,000 miles test in France. It is being sent off to-day.

As well as removing the 3 1/4 lbs. we should be glad if you could alter the coupling pieces internally so that they do not foul the nut on the main shaft from the gearbox, or the pinion shaft for the axle. We have marked where this occurs on the actual shaft, and are sending you a sketch showing the clearances required. When this shaft was fitted to a car we had to reduce the dimensions of the nuts in question.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
