| (2) We should be glad if you could go over all the levers used on the engine in Derby to see if by slight alterations, not affecting the design, the number of different parts could be reduced, and the same lever used 2 or 3 times over. We have as far as possible pursued this policy down here but we cannot carry it out to the same degree of finality as yourselves, as we have not the final arrangements and the detail drawings of the control gear available.
