To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to E/Ltd. 622 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}10/JH.13.5.37. EXHAUST SUSPENSIONS. Regarding the rubber silent bloc type of suspension for the exhaust sytem, which you have given us for Wraith, I am afraid we shall not be in a position to tell you anything about its durability etc. for some considerable time, as our cars are not doing a great deal of mileage at present. It is most certainly the type of thing we want, and therefore would suggest that you give us a somewhat similar scheme for the Bentley so that we can run it on the next 15,000 miles car, which should be going out to France in about one months time. We would however suggest that you give us a more liberal amount of rubber and of a much lower durometer say 40-45. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/.G.H.Whyman. | ||
