ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFC. Order No. PD 44 X8673. Experimental Brushes for Phantom II, X 5670 and 20HP Dynamos. From a consideration of the Morganite Company's letter, dated 18-2-30, we suggest that one set of each of the three grades, Link 5, Link HM{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}5, and Link HM{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}6, be obtained. Since the makers definitely state that the natural graphite grades are likely to run more silently than the electrographitic grades, we think that the Link 5 brush will prove to be the quietest, and possibly establish a standard of silence to which we can work. Link HM{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}5 will provide a natural graphite brush somewhat harder than Link 5, in the event of the latter wearing excessively. Link HM{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}6 will provide a sample of Signed: Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
