LABORATORY TESTING TRANSFORMER.

Assumed B = 7,500.
Gross C.S. area = 8.75 sq."
Nett C.S. area = 7.45 sq."
Frequency = 50.7 ~/sec.

Since E = (4.44 . Ø . f . T) / 10^8

Turns per volt = T/E = 10^8 / (4.44 x 50.7 x 7500 x 7.45 x 6.45)

= 1.23.

Take T/E = 1.25 for normal working i.e. 5 turns for 4 volts corresponding to B = 7400.

For occasions when the maximum volts per turn are required take T/E = 1.00 corresponding to a B of 9250.
