Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter dated November 2nd.

We think you are wise in postponing standardisation of any thermostat with which you are not entirely satisfied.

We are enclosing Drawing No. BGA. 3751 showing our Drop-in Unit which is interchangeable with Smith's Unit, X.30065.

We will supply samples if you will let us know how many you require, the opening temperatures, and whether or not you require a ball release valve.

We are interested to hear of the failure of the Oldsmobile thermostat, and should like to know if this is of the bellows or built-up diaphragm type.

We are also interested to hear that the General Motors' thermostat was unaffected by the pressure which collapsed ours. We believe that the annular grooves in their frame are more substantial than in ours, which would account for this.

We are enclosing a list of the thermostats which we have supplied recently, and for which we have not yet received your order, together with the costs.

ENCLS:
Yours truly,
THE BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO. LTD.
