Dear Sirs,

Re Dynamo & Motor for "Goshawk".

In reply to your letter of the 8th. inst., (Ref.EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T.) and dealing with the Dynamo and Starter Motor for the above chassis, we have pleasure in informing you that very little modification is necessary on the electrical components to make them suitable for either "earth" or "insulated return" system.

Referring to your postscript, the dozen twin terminals recently sent you for use in connection with the "CAV-WILLARD" Batteries were made up specially to suit your own particular requirements, in that the lighting system could be easily detachable from the battery without interfering with the Starter leads. With this object in view we got out a special battery terminal having a set screw and washer for holding the cable socket from the lighting system, the larger hole of course being to carry the starter cable, which would be sweated into this hole direct.

We trust that this explanation is quite clear, but should you still have any further doubts in your mind as to the suitability of this terminal please be good enough to let us have your remarks at your convenience.

Thanking you, and assuring you of our best attention at all times.

We are,
Yours faithfully,
p.p. C.A.VANDERVELL & CO.LTD.
