ORIGINAL TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} S E C R E T. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M27.2.24. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. re. STEERING. X9450 Y4214 Further information about the Hispano steering would be useful - the loads and rating of the springs for instance in the side steering tube. The inclination of the Hispano pivot to the vertical is more than the designed inclination on the R-R pivot, also the wheel is inclined at a slightly greater angle. It seems odd to us that there should be no pronounced shocks from the road on this car if the inclined pivot is one of the causes.
