Dear Sirs, Confirming the visit of your Mr.Taylor to our Works today, it was agreed that two further experimental foot switches would be sent to us on Monday next, similar to the one we have been testing with the exception that the stirrup will be brazed to the plunger instead of screwed. It was also agreed that a further two switches would be produced embodying the following modifications:- (a) Thicker terminal lugs to effect greater thread length. (b) Stirrup thickness to be increased and the stirrup to be brazed to the plunger. (c) The base fixing holes to be provided with a longer thread. (d) Rubber cap over the terminals. We should be glad if these two latter switches could be manufactured as soon as possible and delivered to us, as we are anxious to proceed further with our standardisation tests. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
