Messrs.Alklum Storage Batteries Ltd.,
Waterside,
HALIFAX.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to the discussions your Mr.Berg had with the undersigned and our Mr.Royce, and also with reference to your letter to our Mr.Royce of the 21st. instant we would like a reply to the following queries :-

(a) Whether the 60 ampere hour capacity as referred to in your letter is at the 10 hour rate.

(b) Whether the 180 amperes maximum discharge quoted refers to a maximum continuous discharge or the absolute maximum. We query this because under extremely bad conditions a starter motor may require as much as 300 amperes momentarily.
We also note that you state in regard to your batteries that they can be dead short circuited from which we infer that the maximum current drawn from your batteries can be extremely high, considerably higher than 180 amperes.

(c) How the internal resistance measurement was obtained on the battery, and whether the .002 ohms figure quoted in your letter refers to a single double cell or each individual cell.
