We cannot afford to reduce the springs in the clutch and if we try and decrease the clearance we get into difficulty with the clutch stopping. As regards the clutch shuddering. This is greatly affected by the adjustment of the levers operating the clutch plate. If these are adjusted unequally, the clutch will shudder badly.
