Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1042 Mon. 20th July, 1936. Telephone message from Mr. Evans (lillie Hall) 12.25 p.m. When RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} was driving GAE-20 to London on Sat. last, one of the doors flew open, causing some damage. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} asked Mr. Evans to send the car to a Coachbuilder for an estimate of time and cost. Thrupp & Maberly estimate that the repair will take 8 days, and that the cost will be approx. £15. JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} will ring you up this afternoon between 4.30 and 5 p.m., to ascertain whether he should instruct the Coachbuilders to proceed. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/K.W. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} instructed that repairs should be proceeded with in London. Car will not therefore be ready for collection this week-end. | ||
