Report detailing a road traffic accident involving car 39II.

I was driving car 39II along Uttoxeter Rd, travelling towards town, at about 4.30 pm this afternoon. There was a tram car in front of me travelling in the same direction; I followed this quite slowly until the tram stop at the corner of Curzon Street & Ashbourne Rd. The tram slowed up and stopped, I did the same. While standing there I was bumped into from behind, the force of the impact pushing my car forward into the tram car. The vehicle behind was a Ford Lorry, registration No C.H. 3220 belong to the Derby Corporation and driven by Bull (licence No 4765). Bull came up to me with a foot-board in his hand and stated that owing to the footboard being out of place he was unable to apply his brake and had run into the back of my car.
