Fuel for 25/30 h.p. Abroad.

Cx {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} 11/KW22.7.37.

Captain Arthur Gibbs telephoned me this morning to say that he had just got back from a tour abroad with his car GTL-32 and was a little in doubt about the fuel he should use in view of our withdrawl of our recommendation about Ethyl.

He says that he had been using a fuel with Ethyl content probably called Dynamin, and or Esso, which again he believes to be a form of Ethyl fuel. When our recommendation not to use this kind of fuel reached him he switched over to ordinary Shell, which he understands abroad is a commercial spirit and the price is only about 3/4ths of what he paid for the better quality Ethyl fuel.

He asks what we recommend him to use abroad, and I said that probably you could let me know for his benefit because of the fact that we have cars in France from time to time on test. Would you therefore please let me know what I should advise him.
