X4240 BY/Cghl/G.4.2.28. re BARKERS CONTINENTAL PHANTOM. ------------------------- With further reference to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/EBNl.2.28. the position as laid out in our BY/Cghl6/G.3.2.28. in regard to the controls is not correct, the actual position is that on Sports No.1 (Chassis 15-EX) the controls were fitted at a distance of 6¼" from the centre line of the car, and the instrument patch was fitted 1¼" on the opposite side of the centre line. The other two experimental Sports cars will be fitted with the controls at 4.000" from the centre line of the car, which is the standard position when we do not fit the instrument patch. In regard to the 12 production cars, which are going through the Works, we have also instructed the controls to be fitted in this position. We take it that We are to leave the floorboards longer, provide a hole in the side shields for the Cobra horn flex, and not to drill for the step brackets on the 12 Continental type Phantom, which are now going through the Works.
