If it is insufficient, we can easily increase the length of the capillary, as there is now no interference from the pressure balance connection, and the connection being at the top of the gauge, the capillary tube is not so likely to get damaged as formerly, when a spanner might have slipped when doing up the nut, or it might have been inadvertently bent on installation.
