It might also be advisable to test a set of Ricardo pistons in both aluminium and cast iron, made in accordance with our most recent knowledge.

I am inclined to think, however, that some form of collapsable piston in case of sudden or rapid expansion by heat is very desirable, and if this is so, the Zephyr type seems to be the least hopeful, leaving the trunk of Ricardo type with the treatment recently indicated, as being the most likely to give satisfaction.
