1020a Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}S/MH.{M. Huckerby} S.S.Cars Ltd., Holbrook Lane, COVENTRY. 25th. February 1938. For the attention of W.Lyons, Esq. Dear Sirs, With reference to the connecting rods you sent along to us some time ago and to which we were to fit some Aluminium-Tin bearings, we are sorry to state that we have not yet been able to fit these and are to-day despatching the rods to you as received. We find that producing bearings for outside people throws too much work on our Experimental Dept., and we are therefore making arrangements whereby another firm is to handle this material commercially. When these arrangements have been completed the writer will inform you and we shall leave it to you as to whether you wish to carry on with the experiment or not. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
