26099 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to By/RD. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA.7.2.34. CAR DYNAMOS. Replying to your E.5/HP.6.2.34., the remarks you have made regarding the practicability of the scheme are precisely what the R.A.E. representatives told us influenced them for a long time against the idea. It was found, however, that contrary to what was expected the increased efficiency due to the multiplication of the slots by far outweighed the expected loss of efficiency due to the increased aggregate amount of insulation. We do feel therefore that the scheme is worth an experimental trial and in view of the remarks made above do you still consider an experiment justifiable. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
