-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}8/KW.9.4.36. We discussed with Firth's the use of a rolled eye rivetted to prevent unrolling. They said that although Humber's used with they did not approve of a hole in this position in the top plate. Our recommendations for Ph.III are firstly a rolled eye as on the Cadillac. This gave no trouble on their 3 ton car during its run in France, and will effect a large saving in cost; and secondly, lubrication from underneath as discussed with Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}, as this again reduces the time of manufacture.
