-3- Starter - Delco Remy. Over-running Clutch engagement. Starter Ratio - 25 to 1. Generator: Charges 18 amps cold - 10 amps hot at 1600 RPM, 7.3 volts. Cuts in at 420 RPM - 8 m.p.h. Third brush generator with reduction of charge when warm by thermostat opening at 175°F.{Mr Friese} IV. Transmission. (a) Clutch: Two driven discs rigidly attached to shaft, i.e. without "soft center". 4 Woven fabric facings .140 thick, 10" ext.dia., 7" internal dia. (b) Gearbox: 3 speed "Synchro-Mesh". Ratios (Percent of high) 2nd. 66.2 1st. 40.0 Rev. 33.3 Drive shaft - Spicer metal universal joints. Propulsion and Torque through torque tube. (c) Rear axle: 8 3/8" road clearance.
