X.2641. RE. SAFER INSULATION OF PRESS BUTTON STARTER SWITCH.

Thanks for yours BY5/H.1.6.20.

We are pleased to find that you are now giving attention to the switch so as to overcome the troubles we are now experiencing, and which we feel we may experience on cars delivered.

A small thimble should be enough if it can be firmly fixed so as to stay in position.

Could we not also consider fixing a thimble over the screw head which fixes the copper spring to the arm? We have had cases where this comes in contact with the boss of the cover.

Will you please arrange for us to be supplied with a quantity of the thimbles referred to, which you suggest can be fixed on cars on test and delivered.

We should like to take advantage of doing this job during the fixing of the plain leaf type split springs.
