Wilmot Breedon Stabilising Bumper,
Wraith III.

On PD.365 herewith we shew a stabilising bumper for Wraith III. We have already handed Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} a print and a sample bumper is being delivered shortly for test purposes.

As you may be aware we are troubled with a measure of scuttle jellying on Coupe and other types of demountable topped bodies on Wraith III. and a test with a normal Bentley stabiliser on a Wraith III. Coupe carried out by LA.{L. A. Archer} produced a marked improvement.

Whilst we propose to try to insist on coachbuilders making such bodies with body bottom sides of the greatest possible rigidity, and to use solid body mounting, we feel that we may in some cases still not effect a cure by this means. We would like, in such cases, to be able to fit a stabiliser, if our tests show that we can get enough out of it for a reasonable mass in the body weight.

The Park Ward Coupé WXA.79 is being brought to Derby for the purpose of the tests by LA.{L. A. Archer}
