CONNECTION OF DYNAMO FIELD AND REGULATOR. It is possible to permanently damage the adjustment of the C.A.V. voltage regulator if, with the dynamo charging above regulating point, any part of the dynamo field circuit is accidentally earthed. To avoid this Messrs.C.A.V. who have experienced trouble with regulators on cars in customers hands due to this, have now placed the regulator in the positive side, i.e. one end of the dynamo field is connected to the earthed negative of the dynamo and the other brought out and connected via the regulator to the positive side to complete the circuit. We see no reason why we should not profitably adopt the same procedure and therefore recommend that we adopt the scheme as soon as possible. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
