Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce" Dear Sirs, We thank you for your further valued order No. 48817 for Rolls-Bentley instruments and have carefully noted your instructions. We are disappointed that you have only requisitioned 35 each A.T. Speedometers and Tachometers whereas you specify 185 of each of the remaining instruments. We gathered from Mr. West during his visit today that you are still unhappy on the score of price. He also raised with us the question of the weight of the A.T. instruments which is a new point. Now that we have your views we are endeavouring immediately to produce a lighter design in the case of each instrument and can promise that the matter of price will have special consideration. May we explain that we have had no experience of producing the large dial instruments in the A.T. series in quantities and we are a little in the dark on costs. We are, however, particularly anxious to have your hundred per cent support for instrument equipment even if it means taking this business at a loss, and the writer will telephone you on this question tomorrow morning after we have had an opportunity of further special investigation with our works. | ||
