From GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}

We have received to-day the armature for the dynamo, for which we thank you.

Re the dropping of the front of the engine of 21 G IV preventing the engagement of the starting handle.

We at first thought this was due to the collapse of the front rubbers and proceeded to tackle the job from this point. We however, discovered that this was not the cause, as the bridge piece was out of line with the centre of the crankshaft. Upon further examination, it was observed that the two supporting tubes had become bent upward from the front bracket on the lower half. We dismantled them, and enclose a drawing showing how they have bent. We have refitted them, turning them half way round, which has made the starting handle engage again. We shall resume our mileage tomorrow.
