Re MAIL.

The following memoranda has this morning been circulated at Conduit Street. Will you please arrange accordingly?

URGENT

" Please inform all concerned in your Department
" accordingly:-
"
" During the railway strike, Post Office mails
" will be very irregular.
"
" Therefore duplicate copies of all correspondence
" which is posted to Derby will be sent in a bag on a
" car which will leave Conduit Street at 3 p.m. daily.
"
" Under these circumstances, correspondence will
" be posted to Derby as usual.
"
" Duplicates of all such correspondence should be
" with Sgt. Hamlin not later than 2.45 daily.
"
" All such duplicate copies should be marked
" "Duplicate" at the head of each sheet.
"
" The envelopes containing the duplicate copies to
" go by car to Derby should be marked "Duplicates" and
" have a blue cross marked on the front, from corners
" to corners.
"
" A similar arrangement will be made at Derby.
" They will send their duplicates by the same car
" which will leave Derby for London every morning.
