R.R. 148 (20 H) (K.{Mr Kilner} 322. 30.1.09) E.P. 5480. X898/X1194 1400. Report on bronze bushes fitted to 1201 chassis universal coupling Run 180 miles on dynamometer and 500 miles on the road. Three bushes have galled, 2 on the gear shaft and one on propellor shaft, the pins are tight on the bushes, due to seized metal in the pins. These bushes have shown an improvement over the present ones (except that it had not seized up tight). It is evident that these bushes when running are short of oil. Recorded 11-3-10 R.H. | ||
