1/113. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Kingsbury. March 15th, 1937. 35-EX. From a memo received from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}, it would appear that 35-EX was expected to run with Motorine C. Oil in the engine. If this was the case steps should have been taken weeks before the car was ready for France for a shipment of oil to be sent to Chateauroux. There is no Motorine C. oil to be obtained in France. I have not received any instructions to run 35-EX with this oil, and having this special Castrol oil have used it. The car has a further 5,000 miles to run. It can be run with Motorine C. if steps are taken to get a supply out quickly. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
