X223 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.25/KW. 19th December, 1935. Messrs. Fescol Limited, 101, Grosvenor Road, Westminster, LONDON, S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. Wilson. Dear Sirs, As arranged yesterday, we send you herewith a print showing the Bentley exhaust system, so that you can give us an estimate for Fescolising the first portion of this on a production basis. We should send you the front expansion box and downtake pipe A-A to B-B. The flanged connection just to the left of B-B is now omitted and you would have to leave sufficient of the pipe at B-B undeposited to permit welding. We hope to send you before long some bits of exhaust system to Fescolise, so that we can test the treatment when the pipe is lagged. As we pointed out yesterday, we find that lagging greatly accelerates corrosion. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
