RE SENIOR RATIONALISED GEARBOX.

We have been examining your proposals to still further simplify the Senior Gearbox by the elimination of parts which resulted from the need to cater for an overdrive.

From Mr. Tarlton's sketch enclosed herewith, the positions of first and second gear in the gate will be reversed. It is felt that we could not do this for obvious reasons, e.g.

(1) Custom.
(2) M of T Requirements.

What do you suggest?
