X4190 Man----- Dept. C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} PISTON RING CLAP. The D.O. have now completed the aluminium type Pistons suitable for prewar cars. There are two types of Pistons required to meet the difficulty, owing to a variation in the diameter of the Gudgeon Pin. In discussing the piston in question we have only been able to arrange for five rings on one piston, whereas we have been able to get six on the other. Personally I do not feel that the difference between five and six rings, so far as piston ring clap is concerned, makes any difference. Mr Shelton is informing you when the drawings are available so that you can order up your requirements to meet customers complaints without delay. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
