Dynamo | Complaint | Reported Probable Cause of Failure
---
CE.4S | Solder melted | Breakdown of armature insulation.
RE.1S. | Solder melted | Dynamo quite OK but output too high
MB.7S | Blowing of fuses. Solder melted. | Bad connection in the dynamo-battery circuit.
UG.1S | Noisy. | Loose bearings.
RE.2S | Burning out of side lamps. | Output found to be too high but not the cause of lamp failures. Wrong type of lamp used.
TA.7S. | Burning of cutout points. | Dynamo supposed to be at fault. Dynamo found OK but output too high.
ER.5S. | Accumulation of dirt. | Brush wear due to excessive output, but machine otherwise normal.
TA.3S. | High output. | Solder found to be melted due to control brush position.
RE.7S. | Burnt out | Fault on external circuit.
