ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD 14-15 CONDUIT STREET LONDON W·1 TELEGRAMS 'ROLHEADRolls-Royce telegram address, PICCY, LONDON' TELEPHONES MAYFAIR 6040, 6041, 6042, 6043 IN YOUR REPLY, PLEASE QUOTE CJ1/E3/12/23 3rd December 1923 My dear Wargrave, Royce is very much upset at our refusing to have a 3-speed gear box and sent round to some of the staff here and at Derby a rather violent memorandum, in which he demanded that the matter should be brought before the Board. I wrote to him a letter of which I enclose a copy. I am now enclosing a copy of his reply. I presume that, as it would have suited you to have the Board Meeting at Derby on Friday afternoon, it will equally suit you to have it in London on Friday afternoon? I think it is desirable that Royce should be given an opportunity of being present at the Board Meeting and, therefore, suggest it should be held in London. Kindly inform me of your decision. Yours sincerely, CJ The Rt. Hon. The Lord Wargrave, Constitutional Club, Northumberland Avenue, W.C. Enc. Copy of correspondence. | ||
