X6135 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.7 July 7th, 1932. Messrs. S. Smith & Sons Ltd, Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. Electric Clocks. Dear Sirs, With reference to our conversation with your MR. Nicholls regarding the windings on electric clocks we are sending you on loan a Boyce Empire clock with a coarse gauge winding designed to operate the clock winder at very low voltages thus avoiding the risk of a burnt out winding. We would like you to consider this feature with Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} Watson and should be glad to have your comments later. The clock can be returned at your own convenience. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
