To EFC) from AJS: " BY) c. to BJ. X7655 AJS1/M24.9.26. PHANTOM SEQUENCE STARTER - No.2 SCHEME. In reference to recent correspondences on the subject of the sequence starter we are sending you herewith drawing LeC.2298., which shews a new scheme somewhat simpler than the original one, and one in which we believe there will not be the trouble of jamming on the ends of the teeth. We should be glad if EFC. would criticise the system from an electrical point of view. We have eliminated the three point press button switch because we consider it should be no longer necessary, and believe that the worst that can take place is a chattering of the switch armature. Would BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} kindly provide us with two prints of the drawing suitably coloured, as we wish to send one to Claremont Haynes & Co., with instructions re. modifications to the patent.
