We agree that the fact of the new side wheel carrier being 3" farther forward than the side carrier provided in the past is going to be very useful insofar as it will permit of wider front doors, and as it is both simpler and cheaper to produce we think it would be a good plan to adopt it as the standard, provided the tests you have asked the Experimental Department to carry out are satisfactory.
