118H? EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HFP.6/JH. 15th. April, 1939. Messrs. Luvax Ltd., Warple Way, LONDON.W.3. Dear Sirs, We have been having trouble with some of your size 5 metering valves. These valves appear to block themselves up after being in use only a short time, so that the particular lubrication points served by them are starved of oil. Is this likely to be due to the felt becoming matted together? If so would it be practicable to use the Valve with the felt removed as the oil is clean? In any case we should be obliged if you would suggest some means of overcoming this trouble. We enclose a valve which has become blocked in service. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
